Yes, each student is entitled to purchase up to two tickets and one of these can be for a non-student guest. The ticket for your guest can be purchased at the same time that you purchase your own ticket. Any guest/non-student attendee of the Summer Ball must be over 18 and be able to show photographic ID, checks will be carried out by door and bar staff at the event.

There are two types of Summer Ball tickets – Standard and Premium. The Standard ticket gives you access to the whole event, except the Premium area. The Premium ticket will give you access to the whole event, and the dedicated viewing area of the main stage, a private bar and extra toilet facilities. 

Premium tickets are only available to final year students. 

The Summer Ball tickets are released in different phases, once the previous batch of tickets has sold out the next will go on sale. A booking fee will be added to all the prices listed below.

Please note; UPSU does not issue refunds for tickets except under exceptional circumstances. In the event that you have bought a ticket but no longer intend to attend the event, UPSU is happy for you to resell your wristband to another student of the University of Plymouth. Please email summerball@upsu.com if you have any questions.

Summer Ball wristbands will not be replaced if they are lost or stolen once they've been collected. UPSU will not be responsible for any lost or stolen wristbands .

The Summer Ball 2025 tickets will go on sale at 12pm on Friday 7th March. Tickets will be sold through our third-party ticketing provider, Native. 

Once you have purchased your ticket you will need to collect your wristband in person from the SU Bar, collection details will be announced nearer the event but typically take place the week before the Summer Ball. You will not be able to collect your wristband before the specified collection dates.
